    Ceph is a massively scalable, open source, software-defined storage system that runs on commodity hardware. Backed by a sizable community spanning industry and academia, Ceph is variously referred to as the Linux of storage and—more poignantly—the future of storage.

    In this breakout session, you'll get an update on the latest technology additions to Red Hat Ceph Storage, including:
    • Information about the newest features and use cases, with a particular focus on hybrid cloud storage with OpenStack and OpenShift, AWS S3-compatible petascale object storage, and hyperconvergence.
    • A preview of the themes and directions of the roadmap for the next 12-18 months, exploring both our plans for the supported enterprise product and our broader plans in the upstream development community.
